# datatomcp

> datatomcp is a hosted service that turns a CSV or Google Sheet into a remote MCP server (OAuth) and a REST API, so AI agents can filter, group and total the data with exact, versioned results instead of reading the file. Hosted in the EU.

- MCP server: https://app.datatomcp.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP, OAuth sign-in, no API key)
- MCP tools (read-only): list_datasets, describe_dataset, query_rows, aggregate, distinct_values
- REST API: GET https://app.datatomcp.com/v1/datasets, POST https://app.datatomcp.com/v1/datasets/{id}/query (Bearer API key)
- Sources: CSV upload, CSV link, public Google Sheet link, private Google Sheet via Google's file picker (drive.file, that file only)
- Free: 3 datasets, 100,000 rows each, 1,000 queries a day. Pro ($12 or €12 a month): 25 datasets, 2 million rows each, 50,000 queries a day, hourly Google Sheets sync
- Agents cannot run raw SQL; queries are validated and capped (up to 1,000 rows per call). Every result names the dataset version it came from.
- Works with Claude (Claude.ai, Desktop, Code), ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, OpenCode, Codex, Gemini CLI and any client that supports remote MCP servers.
